3 Tips to Help You Overcome Self-Doubt - Video

Hello Interior Designers. I'm Jacqueline Green from GAI's Behind the Design, where we are helping build a stronger design community by reimagining training, education, and support for interior designers, and today I'd like to share three tips that may help you overcome self-doubt.
For most of us, self-doubt is inevitable. Many women, including myself, struggle with imposter syndrome.
So, firstly, it's important to recognize that you're not alone. Everyone experiences self-doubt, and it's okay to acknowledge and accept it. It's also important to remember that self-doubt doesn't define you.
Secondly, try to focus on the present. Instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, focus on the here and now. It can be helpful to practice mindfulness techniques such as meditation or yoga to stay present.
Finally, be kind to yourself. Talk to yourself in the same way you would talk to a friend. Give yourself small affirmations throughout the day, and be mindful of your self-talk.
These three tips can help you to fight self-doubt and live a life of confidence and self-love. If you are struggling with self-doubt, I would recommend Mel Robbin's book "The High 5 Habit." It is an awesome book and an easy read. Mel does a great job of explaining why we doubt ourselves and how to overcome it by simply giving ourselves a high five every morning.
Thank you for listening, and I wish you all the best. If you want more great tips and recommendations, check me out at www.behindthedesignco.com. See you next time.
